Broader Scale

Being a Chicagoan and all, I'm left with dealing with constantly fluctuating temperatures, but I've yet to get used to my fluctuating moods that come with the weather change. I still manage to get myself in a rut when the cold weather rolls around and it's hard to pick myself up when I'm feeling blue. I try to keep myself occupied and remind myself that things aren't so bad and that the world around me isn't actually dead like it appears. It's all just hibernating.
So I've kept myself pretty busy since friends have gotten back from school, for winter break. I visited the Sears Tower (now known as the Willis Tower, ick) for the first time ever... yeah, I've lived here my whole life and had never actually been to the top of the tower till just the other day. I went to a couple Christmas parties, did a little bit of shopping, had a few dinner get-togethers with friends, and lots more. Here are some photos from the past few weeks.

A view from inside of a Walgreens.

In line, waiting to get to the top of the Sears Tower.

The sister and me.

Couldn't help but take picture of my friend's chandelier, at dinner time.

And that's all for now folks.
Let me know how you cope with winter blues if ya've got 'em.

Within, Without

I haven't got a whole lot to say, but I just wanted to say Happy New Year to all and I'd like to hear your guys' New Year resolution(s) and share my own.

Well, first of all, I'm going to start posting a lot more on here since I feel like I've got a lot to share.
In general I'm going to work harder at making my dreams come true and always keeping my head up high on my way to reaching my goals.
I'd really like to have a new job and a new home before 2014 rolls around.
I want to learn more about the universe, myself and how I connect to everything; become one with my surroundings.

Aaand I would like to solidify plans on starting school. So there ya go. Tell me yours.

Now here are some photos from what I wore today:

Been wearing these two necklaces non-stop for the past couple of months honestly. A star and the "Om" symbol.

All jewelry thrifted

everything thrifted except Doc Marten boots which were a gift and were DIYed since they once went all the way up to my knees.

Well, tootles!

Styling

So I worked as a stylist for my first time last Wednesday. I recently modeled for Keni Omdahl (check out last post) and since I was styling myself for our shoots together, she brought up the idea of me styling her models for some of her shoots. I immediately jumped at the opportunity to style for her since that's more my forte, over modeling that is.
I was really impressed with the 2 models that we worked with - neither had any experience working as models and they came off a bit nervous and shy when they arrived, but they really knew how to work it when in front of the camera. Overall, the experience was great. I would love to be doing this kind of thing everyday.
Enough yapping. Here are some of the photos from the shoots:

Working With Keni Omdahl

So to follow up with my last post, I just wanted to share some of the photos from my most recent photoshoot with my wonderful photographer friend Keni Omdahl. We met pretty randomly but instantly hit it off and decided to collaborate together. She's not only the maker of amazing photos but she also is the person I can thank for helping me find an interest in modeling. In the past few weeks I've started a Model Mayhem and started speaking with some artists. Guess I'm going to be doing some modeling in the meantime until I really kick-start my career in fashion.

But enough blabbering. Here are the photos:

My personal favorite from this set.

So you should really check out more of her work at:

Tomorrow I'm working with her again to help style a shoot. Can't wait to work with her and the other talented people who are going to be a part of this shoot. I'll let you know how it goes.

The State We're In

A lot of really great opportunities have been popping up for me in the past couple of months, and it's definitely leaving me with a lot to take into consideration for moving forward. I'll talk about it more soon, but I've just been so busy with finding a new job and working with different artists. For now, here's some eye
candy:

Backview of shirt. DIYed shredded T

My new favorite sweater. The stripes on the sleeves are really soft and fuzzy.

My cat Luna and me. Not gonna be the first time you're seeing her.

Well, that's it for now. Hope you liked the outfit post. I'll be sharing some of the photos from the shoot I did with my friend Keni Omdahl. in my next post. They're definitely worth checking out.
Tootles.
